Grace Episcopal Church and the Weldon Historic District are listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Weldon is positioned at 36 25 36 N 77 36 6 W (36.426567, -77.601597). According to the United States Enumeration Bureau, the town has a total region of 1.8 square miles (4.7 km2), all of it land.
Located on the Roanoake River, Weldon is known as the "Rockfish Capital of the World" due to abundant fishing amid the May spawning season.
